We could not take the Science MAPS today. NWEA had not yet loaded the test, but it is ready to go now. Our final MAPS test has been rescheduled for Wednesday at 10:30.
Today we, in no particular order,...
- wrote Poetry
- worked on Area and Perimeter problems. The concept is there, but the double digit multiplication is slowing us down!
- went to library
- worked on, and finished our Flower Reproduction Infographics
- watched a Study Jams about Plant Adaptations and Plant Reproduction
- had some "free" Science Brainpop time. Kids had a list of topics from which to choose
- worked on our Diorama Presentations. We will begin presentations at the end of the week.
- awarded May homework passes to select students.
This evening at home...
- complete the homework for lesson 13.2 in Go Math
- practice your speech a few times. Remember: C.O. L.D. Content, Organization, Language and Delivery. Speeches should be between 1-2 minutes. Not longer!
- read for 20 minutes and write a one paragraph reflection. You may write a summary, give your opinion, or select one topic from your reading that interests you.
- make a plan to get Math Corrections done, if needed. I need these by Friday! Check the portal or Think Central. I will accept corrections from any child who takes this opportunity.
Tomorrow we will...
- take cursive writing to the next level. Some kids are still finishing up their "Letter" packets. Others are ready to move on.
- spend some time practicing our speeches
- work on our Poetry Party books
- review some Science
- read!
- work more on Area and Perimeter
