Energy Robot

Diy-  Energy Robot
Forms of Energy project
-A Science, Art and Writing Project

Students will present their understanding of the different forms of energy. Each student engineer will plan, design and create a robot that features each form of energy:
-thermal
-electrical
-light
-sound
-mechanical
Examples may be “representative.” For example, some kids may choose to include actual lights, but this is not necessary.

The project will include:
-A 3 D model of the robot
-A Power Point or Keynote Presentation
-An oral presentation of the Power Point/Keynote work.

*Each slide in the Power Point will explain a different energy form and how your robot would use this form. You may choose to use the pre-made Power point templates, or
create your own. For example...
Thermal Energy
Thermal energy is a type of kinetic energy. It is also known as heat energy. My
robot
has a built-in towel warmer. It uses thermal energy to heat your bath towel on a
chilly Chicago mornings.

Pictures and a sample presentation are available on the blog.

Student's have been provided with handouts

Thanks to Ms. Collazo's former students for these terrific examples!

Sample of the Powerpoint. Note: to get a top score, you must explain what each type of energy is, and how your robot would use the energy. The sample below needs some more details!
