I hope that everyone is enjoying the weekend! It looks as though the weather is about to turn. We were able to get baseball and soccer in this morning. I hope your games aren't getting rained out! Or, I hope that it rains hard enough that you are rained out and don't have to stand/play in the rain!
I will post a copy of the Marble Maze write up/report in Google Classroom. It should be there in a few minutes. The reports are due on Monday. Remember, you should not bring the actual maze to school Monday. Just the report, please!
Other News
- 201 will take the Science MAPS test this Monday. I apologize for the late notice. The testing window was pushed back, and we had to be flexible. We have been preparing for this all year! Don't worry! Just come to school ready to focus!
- On Thursday, 201 will work with 7th Graders in the Science Lab. We will be viewing and reviewing their Lincoln Park Zoo projects.
- Next week, we will continue to work on our Book Club novels. Language Arts assignments and homework will be based on these books. As children finish, and turn in their novels they will be given Holes or another one of the Book Club selections. These books need to come back and forth to school each day. I hope that we will be reading Shakespeare the final week of school.
- Parents, I am trying to get a "text book" crew together to help the Pod inventory and organize books. Please let me know if there is a day when you can come in to help!
- Our Field Trip to the North Park Village Nature Center is this Wednesday, June 8th. Parent volunteers should be at school by 9:00. The buses are leaving by 9:15. Kids should bring a disposable sack lunch. Water is also recommended. We will be taking a hike and talking about Illinois ecosystems. If we are quiet hikers, hint-hint, we may see a resident deer or two! Please wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to spend the day outdoors. Parents who would like to join us, but didn't make the chaperone list can meet us at the North Park Village Nature Center.
