Thinking- Transverse- Waves- That- Was- a -Tough- Recess- This is- Our- Friday -Thursday

Hello Team 201 Families!

I think we should have called it: Tons of Title Ideas Thursday.

Have you signed up for a conference? I have most of you slotted for a time. Thanks for taking care of this online or for sending back the paper copy. Believe me, I  know how busy you are!  Report Cards will be on student desks. If you can make one of the open spots, you can come in during the Conference hours to pick up the card. We can then schedule a face to face or phone conference for an alternate time.

We are finally done with PARCC testing. Yahoo!  Next week, we will continue our Poetry Unit. We will read, write and analyze poems.  We will have a test on Friday: a Poetry test. Kids should brush up on their poetic devices. We will be practicing all week.

Next week we will dive deeper into WAVES, which is our CAC topic.  Our CAC unit begins the Monday after Spring Break.   All hands on deck! Please let me know if you are able to help out.

Things we need or don't need:

- Mod Podge
This stuff is expensive! Even if you can donate a small jar, it will be helpful.  Mod Podge gives our art work a beautiful glossy finish.  I am crazy for the stuff!

- We DO NOT need sheets for our Greek Costumes. I will purchase a discounted bolt of fabric that we can cut to create the togas.
-We do need parents who can measure and cut the cloth. We will also need help fitting them to each child.
-We will need some potatoes for printing the fabric. We don't need them yet!

This weekend at home...
  • Please read for three sessions or more. This counts for three 30 minute Reading Log sessions. Parents, please sign the Gold Card to confirm that the reading is actually done.
  • Please work on IXL or ST Math. On IXL, please make sure that you are working on the 4th grade curriculum.  Please get a signature to confirm that you did IXL or ST Math. If you don't have internet access this weekend, please write a quick note on the Gold Card.
