Hi Mrs. Ginn's I hope that you are enjoying your day! However, I have been trying to gain access to the homework assigned during the strike and unfortunately cannot seem to locate where it will be posted Shane did not copy down his assignments and explained to me that I could locate it online. Could you please help me with this? Thanks in Advance,
Thanks for writing! The work stoppage has prevented me from formally posting notes, news and homework. Students were given a "Facts" reading response sheet on Friday to complete after reading a book or chapters in a book of their choice. Students were also asked to finish their US Map project. Sean can use the link to Khan Academy to study place value to the millions, which we are supposed to be learning this week...
I hope that this helps! If you have any further questions, please click on the "email me" link, and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Thank you for all of your support. I hope that 201 is reunited very, very soon. I am looking forward to a positive and productive school year!
Thank you so much for writing! I can't wait to see you tomorrow! I am ready for everything to get back to normal. I will see you bright and early! :-)Mrs. Ginn
Hi Mrs. Ginn My apology for Shane absence today. Unfortunately, he's very ill and we hope for his wellness over the weekend. However, his homework assignments are complete and we are both abreast as to the assignments due Monday. I will make sure that both his reading and science homework is complete. If we are able to receive and complete the math sheet on Monday we will be sure to hand it in on Tuesday. Also, Shane did not bring home the information/log in information per edmodo. So we have not been active in this area, however, is there an alternate way that we could log in over the weekend? Thanking you in Advance! Have an awesome weekend!
I hope that Shane is feeling better. We have the math and some other classwork ready for him. If you email me directly, I can pass along our group code so that he can join the 201 group on Edmodo. I don't want to publish the code online, because we want to keep this group private and secure. Just click the "email me" tab at the top of this comments section.
Thank you for getting in touch. I will look forward to seeing Shane tomorrow.
Alex will be at home all this week. On Monday he twisted his ankle at school. Tuesday was hard for him to walk lasting into Wednesday. Last night he woke me at 3:00 a.m. saying he felt hot and had to throw up. Needless to say, he has a fever, is throwing up and complains of body aches. As a result, I am keeping him at home the rest of the week. My concern is his homework. If possible, please send his homework home with Bianca (7th Grade - Mr. Wiggins). I believe you are acquainted with Bianca as she used to be a former student of yours :) Thank you very much for your help and consideration. Manuela Cristian Alex Muresan's mom

Hello Mrs. Ginn: I am writing to explain Alex's absence yesterday, December 4, 2012. As you know, on Monday, November 26, 2012, he suffered an incident at recess wherein he sprained his ankle, etc. On Monday, December 3, 2012 he suffered another incident at recess, where a girl supposedly tripped and fell on him causing him to fall in a puddle and strike his head on the concrete. He said he felt dizzy after the fall, was wet and cold, and re-sprained his ankle. Again, no one from the recess staff came to his aid, and of course, like before, he didn't say anything because he doesn't want to be a tattler and get anyone else in trouble. He came home with a bump/bruise on his head, wet and barely able to walk. I spent almost 5 hours with him in the ER yesterday and in lieu of crutches he is wearing an air cast. He has a note from the hospital excusing him - please remind him to give it to you in case he forgets. Needless to say, I am disappointed in the staff's recess supervision. Also, perhaps you can talk to Alex privately and remind him to tell you when he is sick or gets hurt. Thank you for your understanding. Manuela Cristian Alex Muresan's Mom
I am so sorry to hear about Alex's troubles! This is the first that I have heard of Monday's incident, and I have forwarded this information to our floor director.
At the top of this page, you will see the "email me" phrase. If you scroll over, it turns purple. A click here will send me an email directly, which makes it easier for me to respond to you more quickly and ensures privacy. I will make a note of this on the blog so that parents are informed.
You can always reach me at mport@cps.edu, or you can click on the email me button. I will look forward to talking to you so soon so that we can resolve this matter!
Please assure Alex that he can always talk to me about situations like these. Reporting accidents is not tattling. Accidents do happen, and I want to help those involved, and possibly hurt, first. We will sort out blame and responsibility later. Once again, I am so sorry about Alex's injuries. He has had a rough week! We were all happy to see him in class today.
How great it is to hear from you! How are things going for you this year? Can you tell me again, who is your teacher? Do you have lots of homework? Are you doing anything fun outside of school? Please send a big hello from me to your mother. I miss seeing you both!
