They Mysterious Case of Roy G Biv: Our arts integrated unit begins tomorrow!  As you know, we will spend two weeks exploring the properties of light.  Our final performance will be on May 11.
We will make final casting announcements tomorrow.

The 3rd quarter Awards Assembly is also tomorrow. This means that Pod 200 will not be able to go down to the CAC until after lunch.  Parents, if you were planning on volunteering tomorrow, we will have some work for you.  Please come and see us at about 9:30, and we will put you to work!

Here are some additional items that we could use:
Aluminum Foil
-4 "detective like" brown overcoats ( small enough to fit a child)

Thanks to all of the 201 families for their help and support!

Good Evening Families!

We are gearing up for Thursday's Poem in Your Pocket Day.  All 201 students should have their poems in hand, or, ehm, in pockets, and be prepared to recite!

Today students came home with a CAC preference sheet.  Each student should mark their preferences.   Students will also have the opportunity to audition for a speaking part on Thursday afternoon.

Monday is our first day in the CAC.  We will begin our mornings in the pod, and will go downstairs each day at 9:15.  Parents, your help will be welcome on any, or all, of these days!  We will need sewers, builders, costumers, artists and extra hands all around!  Look for another note tomorrow!

Good Evening 201 Families,

Remember that there is no school for students tomorrow.
Parents, please send back the "Conference Time Sheet" as soon as you can!  When your child brings me the note with your requests, I will send a note home to confirm your conference time.

Students have a few assignments to complete on their "free day"
-Read the poem Saturday Night at the Dinosaur Stomp  in the Harcourt text or on Think Central.
-Select your favorite stanza.  Practice reading it aloud.  Focus on clarity, expression, and rhythm. Be prepared to share your work in class on Monday.
-Do the Vocabulary activity found on the page following this poem.
-If you did not complete Thursday's Social Studies Weekly note taking activity, please do so this weekend.
-Math workbook 24.1

Looking toward next week...
Students, you did a fantastic job on your Illinois Fur Trading activity today!  On Monday, we will carve out time to make our birch bark canoes.

We will also begin our study of...........
Students, feel free to bring in any articles or books related to this topic.  We will begin to build a temporary classroom library.  This will help us generate ideas and get us prepared for our CAC unit!

I will try to post a new assignment on Edmodo at some point this weekend.  Remember that your responses on Edmodo should contain grammar, punctuation and spelling that reflect your abilities.  In other words: proofread!

Have a great weekend 201!

Mrs. Ginn :-)
